IOW 2026 E-POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

1. Eligibility & Registration

  • E-Posters may be submitted on any topic related to Otology.
  • It is mandatory for the presenting author to be registered for the conference.

2. Abstract Submission:

  • Word limit: Maximum 250 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations)
  • Structure: To do under the headings – Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions. Abstracts
    not adhering to the above format may be rejected.

3. E-Poster Format & Layout

  • Poster will be projected on TV screen during the session.
  • Poster must be prepared as a single PowerPoint slide only.
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9 (Widescreen).
  • File format: PowerPoint (.ppt / .pptx) only.

4. Poster Content & Formatting

  • Title: Short, clear, and concise. Written in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Authors: Full names of all authors in BLOCK LETTERS, in one line below the title. Presenter’s
    name must be underlined.
  • Font type: Times New Roman. Font size: Title: ≥ 36 pt, Headings: ≥ 24 pt, Body text: ≥ 18 pt.
  • Headings: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions
  • Use of standard abbreviations is desirable. Please use special or unusual abbreviations in
    brackets after the full word, the first time it appears. Use numerals to indicate numbers,
    except to begin sentences.
  • Graphs and references are NOT permitted.

5. Presentation Time

  • 5 minutes for presentation. And 2 minutes for Question & Answer session.
  • Only judges will ask questions. Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
  • Exceeding the allotted time may lead to disqualification.

6. Submission Details

  • Posters must be emailed to iowotology@gmail.com with Subject as –“E-POSTER IOW 2026 –
    Title of Poster”
  • Last date for submission: 30th April 2026.
  • Acceptance status will be communicated via email.

IOW 2026 ORAL PAPER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

1. Eligibility & Registration

  • Oral papers may be submitted on original clinical or research work in Otology
  • Presenting author must be registered for the conference.

2. Abstract Submission

  • Abstract must be in English. Word limit: Maximum 300 words.
  • Abstract must include: Introduction, Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • Previously published or presented papers will not be accepted.

3. Presentation Format

  • Presentation must be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint format.
  • File format: .ppt or .pptx only. Aspect ratio: 16:9 (Widescreen).
  • Use clear fonts (Arial / Calibri / Times New Roman recommended).

4. Slide Structure (Suggested)

  • Title Slide, Introduction / Background, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results,
    Discussion, Conclusion and Clinical Implications / Take-Home Message
  • Recommended number of slides: 8–10 slides.

5. Presentation Time:

  • 7 minutes for oral presentation. And 2 minutes for Question & Answer session.
  • Only judges will ask questions. Judges’ decision will be final.
  • Overtime presentation will lead to disqualification.

6. Evaluation Criteria

  • Scientific merit and originality, Clarity of objectives and methodology
  • Presentation of results, Clinical relevance, Adherence to Time
